WBHS Advisement

Mrs. Jerrie Hulsey began her post secondary education at what was known then as Macon Junior College. After one year she transferred to the University of Georgia where she received my Bachelors of Science degree in the winter of 1980. Immediately she began to work on her Masters in Education. Over the next three years Jerrie worked in industry as an accounting clerk and secretary. In the fall of 1983 she secured a business education position at Winder-Barrow High School and have been teaching there ever since. During the course of her first year at Winder-Barrow High School Mrs. Hulsey completed her Masters in Education from the University of Georgia.

Over the next 25 years she has taught many different courses as technology has changed.

During her tenure here at Winder-Barrow High School she has had many different responsibilities.  Planning the prom, planning homecoming activities, and being a reading strategy instructor are just a few.  Currently, Jerrie is the senior class sponsor, FBLA advisor, and chairman of the Bulldogg Hall of Fame committee.

In addition to teaching, she has coached cheerleading for twenty-two years at Winder-Barrow High School and started the competitive cheerleading program in the fall of 1993 and has been very fortunate to win six region championship titles and five state championship titles.

Teaching has been a very rewarding career, and she looks forward to the next five years until retirement.
